Using ETV for teaching In-Person
ETV is the largest online video platform in New Zealand with over 100,000 videos searchable with metadata added - yours to view on-demand.
Useful features of ETV include:
- TV Recordings: Programmes are captured daily from over 40 Freeview, SKY and International Channels. Programmes are recorded on request.
- Online Collections: Videos for teaching and learning purposes, can be downloaded from any open website.
- ETV tools allow for flexible integration, sharing and annotation of video content. This includes issuing direct links and embed codes for integration of videos into LEARN.
- Live TV: Online access to Live streaming - Freeview and selected international TV channels.
The new version 5 of ETV provides substantial refinement of the ETV user interface and of EVA (Enhanced Video Annotation) and includes E LINK - a content management platform, which allows for storage and sharing of a wide range of file-types and resources.
In this session Gretchen Badenhorst from ETV will explore the new features of V.5 of ETV, E LINK and EVA in a hands-on workshop, focussing on using EVA in the context of teaching and learning:
- Looking at a few classroom-ready EVA exemplars
- Reviewing the available EVA tools,
- Creating EVA’s for embedding in LEARN and use in classrooms.
