Take a break and widen your research horizon by listening to a 20-to-30-minute talk followed by Q&A and networking over tea, coffee and biscuits! Every first Wednesday of the month, tea and coffee will be provided. We encourage you to bring your own cup (however paper cups will be available if you forget).

An unexpected career: how facing challenges with faith and hope shaped my path

Dr. Samuel Maddimadugula, Team Leader, UC Assistive Technology, shares the challenges he faced while pursuing doctoral studies, including managing a young family, a sick child, and planning to migrate—all at the same time. He believes that his faith sustained him, gave him hope, and presented some unexpected but rewarding outcomes.
