The Globetrotting Researcher: A Guide to Thriving in a Multicultural Workplace. In-Person

What do we take for granted when interacting with people? How do our communication preferences – largely shaped by our own cultures and experiences – impact others who are culturally different from us? What are the likely pitfalls to be aware of, and what strategies can we employ to remain effective when working/studying in an increasingly multicultural world?

Regular travel for international work assignments and/or collaborating in diverse teams are integral to many contemporary professions. This workshop aims to provide useful strategies to address some of those issues.
