Te Haukāinga Series: Ngā kupu o te whenua (toru)

Te Haukāinga Series: Ngā kupu o te whenua (toru) In-Person

This workshop will explore the formation of Māori and Pākehā relations. It will examine the texts of He Wakaputanga o te Rangatiratanga o Nu Tireni (the Declaration of Independence) and Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi). Furthermore, this workshop will outline the basic differences between the te reo Māori and English versions of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the Māori and Crown disagreements that stem from them. For any research students that want to gain knowledge on the historical texts of Aotearoa New Zealand, this is the workshop for you. This is the third workshop in a series of five.
